Musculoskeletal injury is the leading cause of serious compensable injury in Victoria's building and construction industry, accounting for around 65% of claims. WorkSafe inspectors will talk about the key issues and prevention strategies, including the correct selection and safe use of ladders.
9:30am to 10:30am: Young workers - employer and employee responsibilities
Young workers are particularly vulnerable. Find out what your responsibilities are to ensure a safe workplace as an employer and an employee.
10:45am to 11:15am: Overview of the OHS journey when transitioning from old to new hospital
We'll talk about the occupational health and safety journey when transitioning from a mix of healthcare services into one centralised $600 million dollar healthcare facility.
11:20am to 11:50am: Deceased bariatric management plan
This session will demonstrate the systems, tools and equipment used by healthcare workers and funeral directors to safely move deceased bariatric patients.
