Musculoskeletal injury is the leading cause of serious compensable injury in Victoria's building and construction industry, accounting for around 65% of claims. WorkSafe inspectors will talk about the key issues and prevention strategies, including the correct selection and safe use of ladders.
9:00am to 10:00am: Returning to work from sprains and strains - Is the work safe? Do I feel Safe?
This interactive presentation and discussion will focus on the role of occupational health and safety activities to enable people to return to work following a musculoskeletal injury.

Dr Shane Richardson is a founding partner and director of Delta-V Experts, an expert accident investigation, forensic engineering and workplace safety solutions consultancy.
He will talk about the work Delta-v Experts do, his experience with quad bikes and what rural operators need to consider.
11:30am to 1:00pm: Workplace bullying prevention programs - Bully Zero Australia Foundation
The damage caused by workplace bullying and its associated costs can be prevented. Bully Zero Australia Foundation (BZAF), together with WorkSafe Victoria, has developed a comprehensive workplace bullying prevention program to minimise conflict and bullying in the workplace.
